General Options
  • Model: Determines which Game Boy model to emulate when loading a Game Boy or Game Boy Color game. When Auto is selected, Super Game Boy emulation is used for Game Boy games, and Game Boy Color emulation is used for Game Boy Color games.

  • Use Super Game Boy 2 timings and behavior: When enabled, Super Game Boy 2 is used when emulating the SGB.

Video Options

  • Game Boy (DMG) Palette: This section configures the colors used for all 3 palettes for the original Game Boy (background palette and both sprite palettes.) The Select Preset... button can be used to select from a number of preset palettes.

  • Enable GBC LCD color emulation: When enabled, the colors used by Game Boy Color games are tweaked to better reproduce the colors shown by the Game Boy Color screen. (Only affects Game Boy Color games)

  • Enable LCD frame blending: When enabled, the current frame is blended with the previous frame to simulate the Game Boy LCD screen’s slow response time. (This option has no effect in Super Game Boy mode)

Audio Options

Audio Options
  • Volume: The volume sliders can be used to change the volume of each independent Game Boy sound channel.
